Spring is whitewater season in Washington. If you're looking for a thrill, try the Skykomish River's Boulder Drop rapids, one of the only Class V rapids on the river.
This company-organized trip was a full day of activity, with about four fun hours on the water. I recommend calling an outfitter to arrange for your department or company outing in April, when the water is high. The outfitter will transport you, feed you, teach you how to paddle like Hell, and take you for an entertaining ride. Take your waterproof/disposable camera, cheap sunglasses and a windbreaker!
