Northwest Hiking Trails

Lady Falls, Strathcona Provincial Park

Photo of Lady FallsThis short, half-mile trail is an enjoyable stroll, even in the rain. And rain it did, for most of our visit to Vancouver Island. We altered our itinerary to include more widespread explorations of the island, as steady drizzle and daily downpours converted our week of hiking to a week of driving around.

Lady Falls is an example of the many short side trips available in the Campbell Lake-Buttle Lake area. Other side trips include Lupin Falls Nature Walk (1 mile in forest), Karst Creek (2 miles in a valley), Lower Myrna Falls (1 mile in old growth with multiple falls).
