"I would definitely recommend this trip to a friend."
Perfect blue sky weather to tackle this great conditioning trail. Much more challenging than it looks with straight ahead charges up steep sections. The wildflowers blooming in the summit area made it worth the effort - plus the great encompassing views of the Tillamook Forest.
The steepness makes it almost as much work coming down as going up - poles or a staff are fully justified here.
If you're looking for workout this is a good one. Do carry water, for your pets too, 'cause it's completely dry.
Located on the Hwy.6 Wilson River Hwy, a few miles west of the crest. Trail is only 5 miles round trip with 2600' of elevation gain.
