Heather Pass

Trip report by: Amy

"I would definitely recommend this trip to a friend."

My father and I discovered the Heather/Maple Pass trail about 3 years ago. It is a beautiful hike, with amazing views. It is best done in late Aug. to Sept. and even that late in the season we have run across snow on the return of the loop.

The loop trail is great, you get an entirely different perspective, and there is a great circ on the far side. The trail is fairly gradual on the way up, with a more grueling push towards the "summit" of the pass. My father and I love it so much we try to make it an annual hike. Hopefully we'll be headed there this weekend!
